“OK, after getting through your list of cheap Milan hotels I still haven’t found anything interesting. What now?”
Well, you can search for cheap Milan hotels yourself. The best way to do that is to search for such hotels on the following sites:
1. Booking
2. Venere
3. The usual suspects: Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, Opodo, Orbitz.
and compare prices and amenities in order to come up with the best result. It’s that easy.
“Anything else I need to know about Milan hotels?”
1. First off, cheap hotels in Milan aren’t as cheap relative to hotels anywhere else so you might be a bit disappointed with the prices quoted by even the cheapest of hotels.
2. Milan hotel prices tend to rise during trade shows that take place in the city, which is more often than not.
3. To reduce the cost of your accommodation you could also stay in Bergamo which is quite close to Milan and also hosts the Orio al Serio airport which is very popular amongst low cost airlines. You can easily reach Milan from Bergamo by train.
For some cheap Bergamo hotels, you can check Booking and Venere.
4. For hotels near Linate airport it is best to book hotels near the Milan central station from where one could easily access Linate airport. That’s because hotels near Linate airport are slightly more expensive. Same goes for hotels near Malpensa airport even though Malpensa is farther away. For hotels near Orio al Serio airport you can do the same or book a hotel in Bergamo. See the previous paragraph for more on cheap Bergamo hotels.
5. For Milan hotel deals you may want to use time to your advantage: book early and try to avoid trade shows. Other than that, you may also want to check Booking and Venere regularly because from time to time they do offer the odd Milan hotel deal.
